I'm stuck scratching my head....did not even think about this being an issue until I received the knife but.......
The stainless scales on this crossbird knife seem to be press fit with no way to adjust the tension on the blade pivot screw. ( can't get to it !! )
DAMN IT !!!! Spyderco should have stayed with using the g10.

Anyone out there ever adjust this darn thing ? Any suggestions ?

Thanks,

One method is to gently hammer the scale where the pivot pin is, you may just make it worse but I've done it on really cheap stainless lockbacks and it worked.

The SS version is pinned construction, so there is no pivot screw to adjust. Changing the tightness of the pivot is a somewhat tricky process, and one I don't recommend unless you are willing to risk ruining your knife and accepting responsibility for doing so.
