So now that I bought one and love it, I am trying to find out a bit about the history of the Spyderco (C10GPFG) G10 Endura 4. I haven't been able to find out much about it online but I'd love to know the history of how it was developed as an alternative Endura, when was it first produced, how long was it produced for, how big was the production run, is it now officially discontinued, and anything else of interest anyone knows about this great knife....
Cheers,

this model has been in the line for many yrs. a comprehensive history is long & complex. the same situation goes for the police mdl. the actual changes in materials on handles & blade steels probably numbers in hundreds.

Thanx yablanowitz! That will help. I wish there was a more comprehensive source...like if Sal would take the time to write a 10 page history for us...;)

Having read many of his posts on the subject, I doubt 10 pages would cover many of the older models. From what he said, the Endura and Delica both underwent at least five mold changes before they dropped the molded clip and went to the barrel bolt design.

But the champion has to be the Police Model. I've identified more than 40 variations of that one.
