I rarely venture in here (Spyderco forum), usually I'm over at the custom knives forum.

Most Spyderco knives don't really appeal to me, because frankly, I think most of them are b*tt ugly! :D

I do however respect the company, for being innovative, for standing behind their product, and for their cooperations with custom knifemakers. The Centofante models spring to mind, and the Terzuola models. (Well, those two stand out for me). The few Spydercos I own (a Military (CF/BG42) and a Para Military II (G10/S30V)), are very nice, good quality folders.

Recently, on the DKE (knifeshow in holland), I noticed a Terzuola Slipit in the Spyderco stand. I putchased it. Mainly because it is a slipjoint, thus making it legal to carry in, for example, the UK.

Like it very much, especially the 4 detent system to hold the blade open & closed & "halfway".

This one will be carried & used.

Indeed it is a great knife. I have one and been carrying occasionally. Gotta love the CF and the CPM S30V steel. Although i wish it was a deep carry pocket clip and if there was something could have been different with that lanyard. All in all, an awesome knife to carry around.

Although i wish it was a deep carry pocket clip

Yeah, I agree with that. It would sit nicer in the pocket.

My only "gripe" with this knife is also clip-related. It's the empty "pocket" where you can put the clip on the other handle. Would have been nicer if a small piece of CF with two screws (same screws as clip) would have been provided.

Kind regards,

Jos

Love the Terzuola Slipit, handled one last year and loved it but hated the clip. It's a great looking knife.

I got one this weekend; finally found one at the right price. Fit and finish is perfect, better than the last USmade spyderco I bought. Edge grind top notch. The design is good. The blade is very useful and the grind is too. I made dinner with it the last two nights and it worked well. I was leery of the lock, but it has sufficient tension for everything I did. Lock-up is tight; no wiggle anywhere. The recessed clip is nice and shows its a Terzuola. The finger notches don't lay well with my fingers, but it's not annoying as with some knives. I also didn't care for the landyard and took it off. When it comes to pocket placement, IMHO if it was deeper it would be hard to access w/o the lanyard. Very much a Terzuola design and build quality.

I really like the Terzuola as well - it carries on the spirit of the previous BobT collaborations with Spyderco. One thing that bugs me about this knife is the silly little non-functional lanyard attachment. It seems to dig into my palm in the wrong kinda way. So late last year, I just removed it. Took my disk sander to it after cutting off the leather thong, then hand sanded it out to 1200 grit. Nice and smooth now. Its an easy mod for anyone that wants to try it.

I'm usually over in the Traditionals forum but I love me some Spyderco's. The Terzuola is my all time favorite so far though I just took delivery of two others. Great pics, thank you for posting them, they really show the CF nicely.

IMO it's a terrific looking and feeling knife and I'm glad I got one before they went away.

Been putting it off forever.......
Guess now's the time.
Just ordered, should be here next week.
Thanks for reminding me. :)
