I just saw the new Spyderco C150GP Junior. It looks like a great knife for kids, or anyone with small hands. The locking mechanism seems like it pretty much guarantees that the user will use two hands to close the knife instead of the standard one-handed operation most liner and integral locks allow. Any thoughts?

Dosent look to hard to close the compression lock with one had if you use the two finger pinch and flick the knife closed...Spyderco is usually good with making knives for single hand use

I think this could be a great work knife and not just for kids. The ergonomics are truly unique and excellent. But I don't like the tip (it's not pointy enough for me) and I'm a bit tired of black G10, therefore I'm going to skip it for now and wait for future models and sprint runs, hoping there'll be something more exciting down the pipeline (e.g., zdp and carbon fiber).

A regrind to a clip point, however, may change my mind...

Right on, my Para 2 blade drops right in when the lock is actuated; should be the same for the Jr.
