I recently sold this knife to a member here as unused and unsharpened..Well I was wrong.I myself have never used it or have never put it to a stone.The previous owner that I obtained it from drescribed the the knife LNIB.I took him at his word and traded with him.I recieved the knife took it from the box and inspected it with my naked eye.The knife looked brand new to me so I put in the safe .That's where it set until I recently sold it.The new owner tried cutting paper with it which is something I never did but will from now on when recieving a new knife.After trying to cut paper it was pretty obvious the knife had been used to cut with.The knife as you can see in the photos the knife seems to have no carry wear on the clip or on the slabs but for the sake of this thread lets call it a used knife.
I returned the member his money he returned the knife.No harm no foul I hope.I felt really bad about this transaction and hope I made things right quick enough to suit him.I now have the knife back and still don't really want knives of this caliber just setting in the safe.I guess you would consider me a collector but my tastes have drastically changed.I am drawn more to the outdoor or "bushcraft" type tools now.Especially custom made puukko knives.To be specific ones made by Pasi Hurtilla.
I sold the knife the first time for $325.00 shipped.
I am going to offer it for $300.00 now $280.00shipped conUS this time.
I prefer paypal and use the gift option or add 3%.
I still feel the knife is at least worth this amount.Their were very few made and as you can tell by the photos that the knife looks to be in very good shape.
I am not in need of money yet so I will not entertain any low ball offers and I am not interested in any trades at the moment.I will listen to respectable offers but will probably stick pretty close to the price listed above.Please remember this is considered a used knife that may need a little work on the edge to bring it back to paper cutting hair popping sharp.I have water stones and strops but for the time being I am not going to attempt to mess with it at all.I hope that someone wants it more than I do and I will leave the sharpening up to it's new owner.As usual first to post "I'll take it" in the thread and follow with pm or e-mail gets it.
