I was wondering if anybody had any experience with the sheath and how durable the sheath and kydex are in general.

My son has a Caspian Salt. I've had a chance to fuss with it a bit, though I've not actually worn it. The sheath seems well constructed and the release mechanism seems to work well.
Kydex is considered very durable. It is a popular material for tactical sheaths.
