Since a lot of people are curious about the new models of the Cat, I figured I'd share my review with you. It's a keeper... http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=718074

Thanks for the great review.

A couple people have asked what a Cat 2nd looks like, and why it's a second. Here is a pic of the CF, notice how its not smooth like the OPs? (OP if this is to off topic I will remove)

On my list...next planned spyderco purchase....you never know about the unplanned ones though :)

I picked up a Cat and Chicago last week. I can't remember the last time I bought two Spydercos more or less at once. Given the handle material and blade steel, I cannot imagine a better deal on pocket knives than these two little numbers. They are perfect edc for someone who works in an enviroment that demands discretion.:)

Received my Cat today and overall I like it. Mine had the same machining marks on the tang as pictured in your review. Doesn't seem to affect lock up at all. There is a tiny edge where the CF is not flush with the steel liner but it is tiny and not noticeable. For the price I would say it is worth it. The fit and finish could be a notch better but what can you expect at this price point especially considering the blade steel.
