It looks like an awesome slim carry with an awesome steel. I am a little confused by the super low price. Is there something wrong here that i'm not getting? i'm not a huge fan of FRN but that seems like the only downside to this knife.

Just wanting to know before i take the dive.

Thanks all!

I don't know which version I have, it is black handled with VG-10 steel. I noticed you asked about the strong points of the wharncliffe style blade.

I really like this blade style as an everyday utility. The point is sharp and it's possible to put a lot of pressure on it for good piercing. The edge is nice and straight for easy sharpening. It's good for folks who cut a lot of packaging, rope/cord, cardboard, etc.

It also makes a good defensive blade. A bonus in my book.

you won't be sorry, i had one, sold it and now want one.
slim ,tip down carry, steel liner on the clip side only comfortable to use.
it is slimmer than delica for reference.

The Centofante 3 is a great general EDC. I've bought a couple and have used them for food prep, and general carry (cutting open boxes, letters, ....light stuff) with no problems. The low price may make you think junk, but it's a 'most bang for your buck' deal. Hope this helps.

A very underrated knife IMHO...

I just bought one this afternoon. It is very light and slim. i have been wanting a VG10 blade, and the price on the Centofante 3 seems like a good deal. This is my first Spyderco, and I am very happy with my purchase.

I give this one a big thumbs up.
Nice and light with a great blade. Can't go wrong here!

I don't like folders at all, but I would recommend the Centofante 3 to someone who does like them. It's got a very thin 2 mm VG-10 blade, and it looks nice, and weighs very little. If you want a knife for cutting stuff instead of prying and all that, then this is a good folder for that, at a reasonable price. Just watch out with the tip - it is very, very thin. My camera is f'd up (again), otherwise I'd post a poor tip shot of it - maybe someone else can do that - to showcase just how thin the tip is.

Excellent knife, I prefer it to Delicas and Enduras. Very light and the factory profile cuts well.
