Hey everyone, I recently stopped by a vintage/antique store in hopes I'd find some sweet blades. As soon I walked in, I saw a glass case containing all kinds of antique medical tools and such, my attention was quickly drawn to a design I've seen before, a Benchmade Spike Boguszewski Design in ATS-34. But that's not the point of this post, next to that BM was a Spyderco Centafonte, labeled as mint condition. G10 scales, ATS-34 steel, silver Spyderco emblem. After I was cleared to check it out, I took a closer look at the Spydie. I've never seen one of these around to my knowledge. I bought it for around $140. I really couldn't find any information on it, other than posts from back in 2006 and 9. Seeing as how that played out, I couldn't find out what it's really worth. I thought you guys might be able to help me out. Thanks in advance guys!!! 😎

Actually there are 4 Centofante's and a picture would help.....

You would probably be better off posting that inquiry on the Spyderco factory forum. BladeForums has a rule against Registered Users asking "what's it worth" type questions.

As for exactly what you have, if the blade is 2 7/8" long, you have a 2nd Generation C25 Frank Centofante. If the blade is 3 5/8". then its a C50 Centofante someitimes called the Centofante 2. I'd just add that value will depend on edge type (plain is more desirable than serrated), condition, and whether or not it came with the appropriate box. The 1998 thru 2000 Spyderco catalogs and the Ironstone catalog with the "panning for gold"cover, all of which you can download here, will give you more information on your knife.

I appreciate it! I had trouble finding the true area to post it so I posted in the next best section. I'll head on over there later.

I had a Centofante 4 that I sold. I never used it. Sellers remorse, I'm into warncliff blades now. It's a Great knife if you can find 1.

I paid $58 for it @ KC several years ago.
