Spyderco Ceramic Stone Grits

Hello guys, it's been awhile (a bit busy atm)
Well, if i remember right there used to be a few people curious about the Spyderco stone grits.
I emailed Spyderco and here is my response...
"The Alumina stones do not have a grit rating but here are some "approximates". Medium is around 1600, Fine 2000, Ultra Fine 2200."

Just thought I would share and hopefully help someone out.:)

The only problem is there are a bunch of measurements of grit, each a different size. Without knowing which type is being cited, the numbers they gave can't really be compared to anything else. I imagine that's why people tend to use microns--because it's a universal measurement.

In the last thread, Sal was cited as saying medium rods are equivalent to 20 microns, fine rods are 6, and ultra fine rods are 3, IIRC.
