How do I make my Spyderco Cjinook 3 open faster and more easily? I started by lining it. Next I adjust pivot tension. I can't open this one handed. With all my other folders I can easily open one handed with the flick of a wrist but not this one. Are all Spydies hard to open with one hand?
Suggestions please

I was going to make the same comment as Chuck did. I can't thumb flick my Chinook 3 but I can use my thumb no problem.

As a side note I use my thumb to open my Manix and Mini Manix. The Chinook & the 2 Manixs have massive locks fwiw. I'm not positive but I think the big liner lock with a bigger
spring may have some to do with the reason you can't wrist flick your Chinook.

I can with my thumb but it is slowly.
I can do the Spydie drop but again it seems like it is not smooth at all opening. Any chance it is stiff from being new? Need to turn torq pivot screw counterclockwise to loosen tension? More lube maybe? I saw u tube demos with other models with guys flicking open super fast and doing the drop very fast too.
What do you think may help in addition to more practice?

I am more comfortable opening my 'nook 3 with my thumb and having the blade under control until it locks. My 'nook is also unflickable but that is probably the price to pay for a strong backlock. It's also easy to spydie drop it but my preference is control. It's not really much slower than a spydie drop. The part of the deployment that takes longest is getting the knife out.

If you want fast deployment, maybe you can change clip position to tip up and do the zip tie wave on it.
