Haven't really bought a new tacti-cool folder in a bit, so I got the Spyderco Paramilitary bug pretty good last week. Ordered the camo finish from the bookstore and just had a few observations that made me smile and think a bit. First, wow...wasn't prepared for how sharp that blade is...they're doing quite the job over at Spyderco on this knife. Loved every single thing about it, except...I just was flat out unprepared for how big it would be in my pocket. It's a great size to some, but I'm a smaller guy and I just could not get comfortable toting it.

Made me think to open up the gun safe and look at some older Reeves I'd stashed away a few years ago. Came across a 2002 Sebenza in BG-42, unopened since I ordered it from Chris Reeves all those years ago. When I slid it into my pocket, finally realized, I should have opened that box a long, long time ago. I had forgotten how comfortable a Sebenza is to carry.

Poking around further, came across an even older (and also un-carried, un-sharpened, (meaning totally un-used) Jeraboam with Serial No. 19. And it was still sharp as a razor too.

So, today was my trip down memory lane....just re-acquainted myself with some older Chris Reeve items that hadn't seen the light of day in over a decade and was glad I did.

This is really neat that you have these minty knives, but a $20 mushroom needs to be eaten to know what you're missing..
