I usually don't buy knives as an investment sort of thing but this looks too good to turn up just on a basic value standpoint. A black 92mm Spyderco Citidel for $125 PE. I've been out of the knife community for a while, and I'm wondering if it's a good idea to buy it just on a collectability standpoint. For legal reasons, I can't actually collect the knife for at least 4 years, but I have friends or relatives who live in states where it's legal and who can hold it for me during that time.
I'm wondering since the Citadel is going out of production and the fact it's a restricted style knife like the Spyderfly, if this is a collectable waiting to happen in the coming years. Well more importantly is the Citadel any good as an auto? it seems like a bargain compared to the Benchmade AFO, it's s30 vs 154cm, same handle materials, similar dimensions, and balf the price.
