Spyderco Clip

I was not going to say anything about this, because it is nit picking, but a piece in another thread touched on clips. SO:
The flat clip (Native) bites into my hand when I do heavy cutting like wood. Now I do have a small hand with little padding, but the wire clip on my Native III does not bite.
I am not going to get rid of my many Spydercos because of this, but has anyone gotten the bite?
How can I ease the "bite"?

You can easily take off the clip off the Native (with two coins) and use sandpaper to sand down the edges of the clip into a more roundish shape. I had to do that on an FRN Delica a while back, because one edge of the clip was downright sharp... :)

Two dimes (or whatever that's 5 cents) will unscrew the barrel bolt easily.

Not big on clips myself, but this thread made me wonder... Has anyone ever tried dipping a Spyderco clip in that stuff that is sold for "plastic coating" things like plier handles? If so, how did it work?

The Deacon,I have thought about that but haven't gotten around to it.
I have beveled the edges and smooth down a lot of my clips. It makes a differance.

Doing without a clip is not an option, I find them very useful.
I fabed a new clip out of titanium, using a lower profile and rounding corners. Is much better.
