In my humble opinion Spyderco is the best production knife company today. Spydy has a huge variety of super well designed and made models and has a high degree of respect for there customers. Bob Kasper designs the most wickedly pure SD blades out there and Pat Crawford has doen a brilliant job of making them a reality. A collaboration between all three would be superb. The kasper fighting folder built in a similiar style to the persian and kriss, black micarta, steel bolster, lock back and vg10 would be stellar. A kasper folder with a lock back! The only thing I would add would be textured micarta, tigerhide or gator back or grooves or whatever. The kasper folder available with a Spyderhole in a production version! Oh well ok one other thing, the Kasper folder with a serrated thumb ramp that is also a wave opener.

I don't know what the liscensing agreements are or the compyrights or what not but I think this would be a superb folder. Or for a blade that hasn't already had a sort of production debut (CRKT) the Crawford/Kasper Perseko would make a heck of a first Spyderco mega folder. A perseko with a steel compression lock and maybe some grooved g10 inserts, a belt stud or pocket clip option.

These are modern classics in American combat cutlery that deserve a quality representation for production knife buyers

Crawford does produce some custom versions of the KFF with the Spyderhole (used under licence). I think Sal has mentioned that he owns one.

I doubt you'll see a Spyderco collaboration on the KFF design since such a collaboration is already being produced by CRKT.

the new CRKT assisted opener (whirlwind, tailwind, whatever its called) thats not dagger looking is designed after the perfigo, though its smaller, look at it and ya can see the similarities.

i agree spyderco is a lot better than CRKT, i bet pat makes some $$ of that CRKT deal though.

A Spyderco KFF would be fantastic. I don't see it happening though due to the present deal CRKT has. Any collaboration between Spydero and Kasper would be cool.

I keep thinking the CRKT KFF is no longer made but maybe that is only the proffessional version. I think the market is big enough for both knives, after all the markets are pretty diffferent. One is a zytel handled 40.00 dollar liner lock with a 420 blade and the other would be a micarta handled lockback with a vg10 blade and a spyderhole, say 120.00 though that is just speculation based on the kriss and persian models.
