hey guys i recently got a (non custom) nirk tighe, so i dont want to carry anything else in my right pocket and scratch the finish - i had been carrying a subcom titan in there as a money clip when i was carrying my 275, but i didnt really care about that getting scratched. so anyway, now that i got the nirk tighe ive been putting the boker with my money and cards in my back pocket. im gonna replace the boker with a cricket, so im wondering if i can put these in my back pocket like a wallet or money clip without hurting them.

I doubt it will hurt it. Spydercos are solid.

I have heard of this recently though. One of my employees sat on his knife and broke it. Two of the handle screws broke I think. 8th was a cheap flea market knife, so I wasn't surprised. I pointed him in the direction of the Kershaw/Emersons. Hope he goes for it.

Don't think there's a single worry with that idea. The little Cricket is so stubby, there's just not enough lenth there for it to be subject to any flex in that environement. I've carred a longer, unlined FRN there several times with no signs of 'warping', LOL.

Sit, but don't spin...

The other guys have it right - the cricket is so thin and rounded that it should carry in your back pocket just fine.

This is a good question and one that I too have wondered about. Sometimes it's a lot easier / more convenient / more comfortable to keep a knife in your back pocket. I'll generally do it without giving it too much thought because I've never had a problem, but...there's always that 'what if.' Usually when I have a knife in my back pocket it's off to the side, so when I sit down, there's little to no strain on it.

The Cricket and 'Spin' are both great, and I prefer the Spin. :)
Both are fine in back pocket.

The only knife ever got open in my back packet was the CRKT Kiss/Peck, no longer have that or any CRKT stuff.
