today i picked up a spyderco cricket and a sog autoclip for 3 bucks each, there real sharp right now but what would be the best way to sharpen there serrated blades?

Your best bet would be to get a Spyderco Triangle Sharpmaker 204.

pawn shop deal, both knives look like they were just out of the box. there probably stollen.

im not impressed by eather of those knives, they seem so cheap compaired to my benchmade. ill probably use the spyderco for a few days and then give it to a co worker.

Don't be surprised if the Cricket starts to grow on you after you use it a while. I didn't know about it at first, but after getting it, the Cricket turned out to be quite useful on my job. I bought the stainless steel model too because it is just too nice to not have around. :D

Oh, that would be a mistake.

Don't think that because it's nearly weightless, the Cricket isn't a sturdy, sharp cutter. That little curved blade cuts like there's no tomorrow.

Try it as a money clip, or hang it on your keys. Put it to use when the sheeple are around, it looks about as innocuous as they come.

Give it a shot. Use it, especially for the grunt work that you don't want to use your "good" knives on; heck it was only $3, right?

It'll surprise you. :)

Crickets eat blister-packs:)
And cardboard boxes. And zip ties and packing straps. And rope and webbing and leather and... well, pretty much anything smaller than a 2x4 should watch out.

id like it except for the serrated blade. it is starting to slightly grow on me because i can carry it cliped to my sock fairly comfortably but with my line of work a serrated blade is going to last all of 5 seconds.

it just seems that all the spydercos and sogs that ive ever handled seems cheap compaired to my benchmades and even my kabars.

i dont know whats happing to me, i carryed full sized kabars to work. now ive got a cricket :( i think its the forums fault, curse you all j/k ;)

Wow! 3 dollars??
I paid $60 for my SS Cricket and I think it's worth every penny! It's very sheeple friendly and cuts very well because of the thin blade. Like others have said, I think it will grow on you. The Cricket is small enough to carry anywhere and you can use it as a tie clip or money clip.

What is your line of work?Short of cutting cinder blocks in half what will destroy a Spyderco in 5 seconds?tom.

The Cricket is one of the very few knives that can reliably and safely cut zip-ties (or tie-wraps, whatever you call them). You just slip the point underneath and pull.

(the Dodo can do the same, and the Harpy/Merlin style)

Cardboard boxes and packing materials are other easy fodder.
Don't forget also that it is very sheeple-friendly.

the things to small  i lost it twice today and it was cliped to my work jackets arm pocket all along :grumpy: its way to small for me.

i gave both of the knives to my fiance and stuck with my 770 and 806.

speaking of, my 806's spair pocket clips came in today so i mounted one on both sides of the knife. when im working i always leave my keys and wallet in my tool box. with the spaire clip i can carry my drivers licens and a few bucks cliped to one side of the knife while the knifes other clip is cliped to my pocket.

id post a picture but my camera is on its way to flordia right now.
