I have carried one Spyderco or another, most days, since the 90's. Yesterday, a holiday, I noticed that one of the grip screws was missing from my Para2. I had taken the knife apart to clean a few months ago
and did not bother to locktite the screws. For the first time ever I decided to contact customer service. You often hear stores of poor customer service, on the forums, from various companies. I did not have
high expectations after remembering reading other posts. (yes I have lurked the forums for years) I made it clear in my email to CS that I was not worried about voiding the warranty and that I did not have
any intention of sending in my knife for servicing. I just received and email letting me know that Spyderco was sending out replacement screws. I was impressed enough to actually sign up for this forum and
finally submit a post.

Forums tend to be full of negative posts and I thought it fitting to acknowledge when companies get things right.

Welcome aboard! Glad to hear you're enjoying your Spydies.
I just took my Ulize out for its first walk this afternoon. :)

Welcome to Blade Forums !

Thanks for sharing your positive experience with us.

Military is my usual carry. Being tip-down, it goes in the right back pocket. Ulize is tip-up, for the right front. Much slimmer than the Military, very easy to carry. I really like it so far.

It's funny, the Police was the first Spyderco to catch my eye, but I never got one. After all these years, I got the Ulize, a kind of tribute to the Police, and I am so comfortable with it.

For some reason I do not mind tip down on the Military, however I must say that I rarely carry it. Usually my Para or delica most days, and always tip up.

Welcome to the forums. The customer service complements the high value knives Spyderco makes available. I just gave my future son in law an Endura with zdp189 steel. .I told him that is the same steel found on some 1000.00 knives. To be made available on a well built knife for under 100.00 on line is a value that is often taken for granted. Just one example.

Too funny, I have always loved the police model but never got one either! So the Ulize is slim like the police? Lol, now you are making me think about getting the police model! I have been going to buy one for so many years. The madness never ends with knives!

Thank you! Big fan of the Endura but do not currently own one. Have not tried the zdp yet. How does he like the knife? Knives really do make great presents. Got my dad a sage 2 titanium for his birthday last year. He loves it! I love all knives but I do agree that spyderco offers a lot for a decent price. Especially the sprint runs. Waiting for a super blue delica to become available!

My daughter tells me he s continually finding things to cut with it. The super blue should be an interesting steel.

Lol, that sounds about right. Bet she is getting annoyed with the constant click of the knife opening and closing too! I am interested in trying the steel but not sure about the patina that forms on the blade. Have to wait and see

I've been carrying the same Delica for around 20 years now. In the late 90s the clip broke off. I contacted Spyderco and they said to send it in. I got it back with a new metal clip installed and they even sharpened it for me. Wonderful customer service and I've recommended them countless times to others.

Wow, you are lucky to still have yours! Mine from the 90s was lent to my cousin and promptly lost. That is very cool that they fixed it and sharpened too. I would not have expected that. Thanks for sharing your positive experience too

I thought I lost it just a week ago, not a super sentimental guy but I was bummed. That's how I ended up here actually researching a new Spyderco and after searching everywhere I could hoping to find it a couple days later I emptied the trash can next to my desk and it was in there, how, I have no idea but it's back and I'm happy.
