Spyderco Delica 4 and Pierce Cutting?

I know that the delica 3 had a more pointed tip and that the 4th generation is more rounded, but would it still be effective for pierce cuts?
 
Rounded isn't the right word. The tip has been dropped for a bit more strength, but its still very sharp. Less pointy, but equally sharp. The delica has a thin enough blade that it still pierces just fine.
 
It's not rounded.
The top of the tip just slants down a little so it has more strength.
However the tip is still fine and sharp as heck.
It can handle piercing well. =]
