Okay, I've got the Delica 4 w/ saber grind, and I'm wanting to pick a Delica in FFG, but I don't really love any of the colored handles. I was wondering if anyone knew if Spyderco was making the Delica 4 FFG in a black handle.

Good question. I would own one if it came in the standard black. Aside from the yellow salt models (high vis) I think colored handles make the knife look like one of my daughters toys rather than a "man's" knife.

what are you trying to say about me? :D

You can do a blade swap with the regular delicas so you can have a black handle if you want one.

Too bad they did not made bright orange FRN handles... Still, I love my blue FFG delica

I would also suggest that you just do a scale swap with your current D4.

they make a grey one too... i dont know if its manly enough though.;)

just do a blade swap but be careful not to damage your delica. they are difficult to put back together

I actually JUST finished swapping the blades. I put the FFG blade in the black handles and the saber ground blade in the green handles. It is not easy but once you get the hang of it, the second one is a snap.

They have the black handle you are looking for (( deleted deal spotting and selling without paid membership ))

I'd just dye the handles black rather than attempt a scale swap. A small box of powdered RIT dye is cheap (couple of bucks at some supermarkets, Walmart/Target, etc.), and it is easy to do (boil water, add dye, soak knife, rinse).

The knife doesn't make the man...
