hi there ^^
im a 16 year old teenager who loves collecting edc knives and such, from spyderco to even those weird questionable s&w knives.
ive had my delica 4 ffg for about a year and a half, i got it from my mom for christas (thanks mom!) recently i discovered some sort of mark, or stain on the top of the blade when in folding position, like where the top part will go back into the backlock. it dosent look like rust or corrosion. ive tryed washing it and cleaning in warm water with soap and thoroughly drying it after words but it still stays there. does anyone have an idea what this might be and how to fix it? thanks :o
and i dont really understand how to upload a picture. please dont flame me.
ill try to describe it. it looks like this narrow streak with a darker outline around the streak. And inside the streak it looks mirror like.

I wouldn't worry much about the mark. If you carry and use a knife enough it is bound to show signs of wear.

On my delica 4 you can see where the blade is differentially hardened (i.e. the blade is hardened but right in front of the pivot you can see the steel is lighter and therefore softer). You may be seeing that but if not than don't worry about it, vg10 is a rugged steel and doesn't stain easily.

If you are talking about the round part of the tang that rubs on the lock until it engages I would say that is just normal where the steels are rubbing during opening and closing.

As you use the knife spots and marks are bound to show up. Some of these can be removed with a little oil and some are going to stay and add "charater" to the blade. I understand how these "character" marks can sometimes be frustrating though
