I am looking into buying a G10 Delica or G10 Dragonfly. Which one do you think I should get?

I love the FFG G10 Delica. The Delica blade is 2-7/8", while the Dragonfly is 2-1/4". I guess the answer depends on your intended use and the blade/handle size you're most comfortable with.

Though if you're considering a Delica, consider the Caly3, too. You might still be able to find it in G10.

Assuming both blades are within the legal limits in your area and you do not have diminutive hands I would go with the Delica. I prefer the wire clip on the G-10 Dragonfly but it's disadvantage compared to the Delica is it's smaller less versatile size.

Both are great knives. Both have excellent lock SNAP when they open. I prefer the wire clip on the Dragonfly, but the size of the Delica is more to my liking. Overall, size wins. Go for the Delica.

Hey! Are you reading my mind? [mumbles under breath....copycat!]

You know what they say......"great minds think alike."

Nice pickup on the G-10 Endura in the exchange, BTW.

Thanks! I didn't even realize they existed until I was reading someone else's post. So I decide to look for one and what do you know, the second post in the Exchange forum is sitting there waiting for me. :D

If you thinking about these two knives and having difficulties to choose, you need to get Caly3

Or a Sage.

I own a g-10 dragonfly and 4 FRN delicas. They are all good knives but blade size and handle size should be what determines which one you get. the dragonfly is small but fits perfectly up to your pinky. the delica is a good medium size that fits comfortably in your hand.

However for the price you are better off with a caly 3 than the delica in g-10.

But buy what you want, they are all fantastic.

I have both. I vote for the G10 Dragonfly over the G10 Delica.
For the Endura and Delica, even though I have both the G10 and FRN handled versions, I much prefer the FRN models. FRN's are lighter without giving up any "strength".
The Dragonfly is opposite for me. Even though my brain knows better, I prefer the subjective "strength" and weight of the G10. The linerless FRN version just feels to "flimsy" for me.
Go figure.

I also prefer the G10 Dragonfly over the G10 Delica. I've got several FRN Delicas which is good enough for me. I also prefer the Caly3 and it's my favorite Spyderco overall. I picked up 2 of the G10 VG10 versions when I heard they were discontinued. One is my EDC and the other is still in the box.

Although this is the FRN Delica4 pictured I thought I'd post this for comparison purposes for you.

That is one beautiful comparison picture you got there! And I am shocked that it haven't receive any compliments for almost a month!

Yeah, the ingrates! LOL, nah it's all good. I appreciate the compliment though! I need to get around to taking some more pics of my gear (knives, lights, etc). I just got the Jerry Hossom Forester FB16P last week and want to take some updated pics of my full Spydie collection, maybe a Forester compared to Bug shot. I also need to take some updated shots of my entire knife collection. I'm just too lazy to get them all together for one group shot, too many knives to set up.

Cheers!

i love my delica. i think it is the perfect size for normal everyday use. i almost got a dragon fly at at gun show i went to a few months ago, but i my hands are too big for them.
