Hello!

I'm looking for a knife around 65 bucks.
The Cold Steel Ak - 47 and the Spyderco Delica are the ones i'm looking for.
If you know something about these knifes, let something know!
Thanks :)

these two are not very comparable. the cold steel weighs more than twice as much as the spyderco. 5.5 ounces versus 2.5... unless you are talking about the mini AK 47. then it's still heavier at about 2.8 ounces...
the Delica will be a thinner, lighter package either way. The blade steels are similar enough to where you probably won't notice a difference. Both have a back lock that operates the same way, but the AK has the triad version which is reinforced. but both will be strong enough for some hard work.

I have only handled the larger AK model and I hated it. I hate knives that only have one usable grip, where your hand it's locked in like that. others love it, though.

I'm currently shopping for two delicas if that tells you anything.

the min-AK47 is not a bad knife. I used to have one and have since sent it down the road. I liked it, but I guess not enough to keep. I guess truth be told Im a steel guy and perfer a more premium steel than AUS8.

I would recomend the delica, if you can spring for it, get it in ZDP 189.

The Delica is the best knife you can get without spending twice as much, or more, for something better.

It has full steel liners, and has a very "solid" feel, but is extremely light.

AK-47 if you want extreme toughness (or a bigger knife if you mean the full-size).

Delica for everything else.

The Delica will cut better than the Cold Steel. And that's why you want a knife, right?

If you want to stab car hoods and swing from the handle on monkey bars, get the Cold Steel. If you want a light weight high performance cutting tool, the Delica is awesome. You won't believe how it disappears in your pocket, and it will slice like a demon.

Delica. While the tri ad lock means business , nothing slices like a spyderco, and for $65.00 why not get an endura ??? It's closer to the size of the ak-47 but much much lighter.

I'm gonna go against what everyone else says and advise you to get the cold steel. There will be almost no difference in steel and the ak 47 has a high hollow grind with good edge geometry so it will slice well. Plus you get thick g10 and the mighty triad lock which is way stronger than the back lock on the delica. I do like spyderco more but between these two I would go cold steel.

Yeah, after having owned both, I really can't say the Delica will be a better slicer. The AK as somebody mentioned has a deep hollow grind on it, the difference between AUS8a and VG10 is minimal and the Delicas I owned all developed up and down and side to side play. The mini AK would be a better comparison to the Delica, it's all good though whatever model you like go for it, they are both great knives.

for me there is just something about cold steels designs that just look cheesy and impractical. I never really liked the term mall ninja but that's kind of what cold steel reminds me of. I love my spyderco knives they almost always have perfect ergonomics for me and I have never had any blade play issues. spydies choices of steels are usually top notch cant complain about any of the ones I have.

One thing I don't like too much about Cold steel is the way they ride (or don't like to ride) in the pocket. From factory, some of them need to have the material underneath the pocket clip sanded down. If you don't, you'll have shredded pockets in a matter of weeks or days. They are also a lot thicker than a lot of pocket knives.

I would pick Delica too. If you like the heavier duty style of the AK, consider the "American Lawman" from Cold Steel as well. It a little less mall ninja.
