Does anyone make wood replacement scales to fit a delica (or sell modified delicas with wood scales)? I really like this knife but it would be perfect if it were available with cocobolo etc.

go over to the maintenance and tinkering forum and see what they say. i know there are people who do that stuff, i just don't have their names memorized.

I remember seeing some pics of a Delica4 with Desert Ironwood scales on Spyderco Forums posted by "noddy". This was back around late 2009/early 2010.
Trix2004 has also posted some awesome pics of Spydies but they were with custom micarta scales. I don't remember if he said who made them for him and don't know if they do wood scales also.

Yessir! Dat be da one! LOL. Wow I didn't realize you were also on this forum Noddy, though I should have figured as much. That's a really nice Delica. The reason I remembered it is because I saved the pic when you posted it back then and I always save the poster's name when naming the jpg as I save it. That way I can reference the person in a case just like this! I just didn't want to post the pic I had since it wasn't mine.

EDIT: I just checked and the pic I had was from this same shoot but with you holding the Delica in your hand above the other knives. Guess I'll be saving this pic for my records too! :D

check out phillip dobson. as mentioned most custom scales cost more than a factory folder.--dennis

^ +1.

i priced some custom G10 scales for my endura 4 ZDP and they cost more than i paid for the knife. i felt it wasn't worth it because i rather spend the money on buying another knife, but to each their own.

I have a Delica that has red jigged bone scales and file work all over it. Unfortunately, one day I dropped it on concrete and broke of the scales. I still carry it, though. I just can't give it up.
