Spyderco derailed my plans

I had planned to buy some of the new Sprints in the new catalog. However, Spyderco upset my plans in a big way! First, they came out with the K390 Urban LW that I simply had to have. So, the new Meerkat had to come off of the list. Next, Spyderco released another unannounced surprise: The back lock Manix 2. Since I have been pushing for this knife for a long time, I was 'forced' ;) to buy it. So, off the list came the Baby Jess Horn. Hopefully, some of these will remain after my wallet recovers.

Any of you making sacrifices like that?
 
more usa made maxamet models will be released next year apparently. they were on my list, but i may just get the native 5 lightweight maxamet... still deciding but man i think im going to get one sooner than later.

i want the Ti frame lock and Carbon fiber s90v military, but... i dunno when it releases, i may have to get something else instead.
 
Sacrificing my mental health, whatever is left of it, trying to figure out what to get next and how to hide it from the mrs.

I sacrificed getting only one knife this year, by getting 3. And I don't even have the one I wanted... yet.
 
Derailed your plans?

I bought so many I had to put off early retirement for another 2 years! :(
But the bright side is that maybe Sal can retire early now.

When's that Hundred Pacer coming out?
I can put off retiring a bit longer...;)
 
I understand about the retirement! Spyderco makes it hard!

I do not want to put all of my money into Spyderco (unless they offer stock!). So, I have to pick and choose and some of the choices are painful. :(

Hey! Don't be retiring Sal early! Spyderco ruins it for me because they use so many different knife steels that I dont get to buy any other brands. If you want to try a new super steel, check Spyderco because they may be doing a sprint run in it.
