Hi , guys i was thinking of buying a des horn.
but i was wondering does anyone have any experience with it?

I have one. It's a fantastic knife. What are you interested in knowing about it?

how are the ergonomics why is it so unknown.
and how can such a large knife be 2 oz.

It feels quite comfortable in my larger-than-average hands.

It is so unknown because it hasn't been out very long and the designer is not all that well-known outside South Africa.

It really isn't a very large knife, the liners are skeletonized and nested into the G-10 scales, and it is a linerlock, the lightest weight lock type.

Yab beat me to the punch. The knife is what I would call a medium dress knife. The ergonomics are good, nice size blade stock, the grind ines turn into a small swedge. The tip is very thin and is excellent for cutting delicate items as well as tearing through packages and mail without any problem.

I say get it stand out from the crowd, I think its a beautiful knife, if you want to pm me I know a dealer with overstock selling them for 95 bucks as well

I have two....one I use and one for collection. I am not a liner lock fan just a wharncliffe and Spyderco fan. I think this is a great knife. Liner lock is the best I have. Very secure and recessed toward the blade to prevent accidental release with thumb. I carry mine all the time (along with a Sage2). Very nice knife. I highly recommend it.
