I got an email very early this morning from BladeHQ saying the Spyderco Dice was in stock.
By the time I woke up and saw the email, the site said "sold out".

There's no image of the Dice on BHQ, just the placeholder background.
Did anyone score one of these?
Was this just an error on BHQ's part?

I'd be kinda surprised if they sold out that quickly. I mean, the Dice is just a scaled down Domino, right?
And the Domino isn't exactly flying off the shelves, and who out there is saying "I like the Domino, but if only it were smaller..."???

Any ideas?
 
I got the same email. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out that fast, but somehow I think it was an error. I think they'd have a picture up if it was actually in stock at one point.

I'll probably be picking up a Dice because the perfect size for me is around the Sage size of knife. I think the Dice will be a similar feel, but it's a flipper.
 
I had a similar issue with that particular vendor recently. Received email notification. Ordered on website. Paid. Then received an apology email stating they had only received one of the item and someone bought it at exactly the same time as me. Refunded my money. Then sent me a shipping email with tracking number. No I didn't get the knife but did get the refund.
 
..... And also told me the one they received was actually a customer return and not a brand new item from the mfg or distributor. Weird.

I had a weird incident with KnifeCenter where suddenly a Spyderco embassy popped up on their site for sale, way after it had been discontinued. But that one went in my favor as I promptly snatched it up. Might have been a return.

But the Dice is a band new knife. Nobody has any to return yet, that I know of.

Maybe I should apply to work for BHQ, help them get their act together :P lol
 
We received 5 of these knives from Spyderco and they sold out before we had the chance to get a picture. We should have more in stock soon.
 
Blade HQ, thanks for clearing that up.

I did notice that the product description for the Spyderco Chubby says the blade is 1.5" thick.
Surely that is a typo and is supposed to be .15" thick, yeah? I lol'd at the thought of a blade 1.5" thick.
