Spyderco Dodo

I'm not sure of the rarest, maybe a plain edge black G-10. My favorite is the only one I own, a serrated Blue G-10.

It doesn't fit my hand quite right. I'm going to make some scales my way and see how it works out

If you are talking about rarest in mint condition with the box, than probably Black PE. But I think that quite a few were made, so should be many more used ones. My favorite is CF. I am not a CF fan, but this knife looks great in this particular finish of CF, also ceramic ball looks great.

The Dodo is what got me into knives and spyderco ,as for which one is my favorite I couldn't decide so I got one of each.
I haft to admit that the black G-10 was the hardest to find nib the blue G-10 was a very close second. If you held me down and made me choose one it would haft to be the blue G-10.

I had both blue handled and black handled. I like the SE blue Dodo the best. Problem was I never carried them, and they were selling at such high prices, I had to sell them. Oh well.

I would say that the one made with the fewest amount of the run would be the Carbon Fiber version. But some of the original "black" handled Dodo models are getting quite hard to find nowadays. It's also getting really tough to find any of the original Spyderedged versions of the Dodo and it really behooves me as to why they didn't offer up any of the newer Sprint runs in Spyderedge???

Because not only from a collector standpoint but from a user's standpoint the serrated Dodo is truly a beast of a working blade.

With all the newborn popularity of the Dodo it wouldn't surprise me to see it back in the line up at some point. I would even like it if they were to do one in the H-1 Salt Series. I've also thought that a larger scale version of the Dodo would truly be a great idea.
