I would hang around for the Orange Dodo. There are some hacks on here and other forums trying to get top dollar, but I picked up a brand new Dodo from thespydercostore last week. They will be available.
Regarding worth, I would not pay $170, $190, or $200 (the current secondary market pricing). They are worth the $125 current retail for me because it's funky and orange.
The blade is surprisingly functional combining a hawkbill with a little belly for trimming paracord. I EDC mine currently and it has it's limits. You can't really scrape or cut a sandwich in half. You can blow through boxes, bags, and other containers with ease.
Sharpening will be a beast without the sharpmaker or other narrow sharpening stones.
Steel quality is top notch if you're into that.
G10 is bright and grippy.
Made in USA.
Lock is cool and functional.
Excellent knife. I don't own the other two versions, but I hear the orange is better quality. It also is the only one with the bug logo. Seems odd, but I hate the other two without it.

the Dodo is awesome, I bought the blue one when it came out and one of my favorite knives. I would agree Willy that I wouldn't pay the inflated price of $170++ for one right now but when the prices and hype comes down around $125 - $150 then it is worth it.

I have been wanting one for years but the discontinued model always went for more than I was willing to pay. The new one for 125.00 is just a great deal. The knife is beautiful and really fits the hand well. I always have an aversion to getting a knife that feels too small but this one is just perfect! Really glad I finally landed one.

I would love a brown wharncliffe dodo with a slight negative angle. The more I look at one, the more I kinda want this funky folder. The orange might be a little too flashy for me though.
