Knife works just added they used to start shipping on 814 2013.

That's exciting. Over at the Spyderco subforum they've got a thread about this knife. I think it's really nice, and I think the price is nice, too. I hope I can afford to buy one.

If it works anything like the smooth flipper on the Southard it'll be a winner. Shorter blade of about 3 inches to boot.

Here's the thread on the Spyderco Subforum: is anyone but me excited for the domino?

It should be in stock this week.

The flipper seems like an afterthought. Like they made it a flipper just because they are popular at the moment.

The Spyderco Domino was designed from the ground up as a flipper. Looks can be deceiving.

What's not to like: 3.1" leaf-shaped blade of CTS-XHP steel, Kit Carson-inspired flipper and a titanium frame lock.

Edited to Add: Also, it looks like the handle material is the same as the Spyderco Bradley folder, that is, a twill of carbon fiber/G-10 laminate (different pattern) which has a very nice grippy texture.

Interesting design. I can't say I'm into flippers though so I'll pass on it. I wonder if that off center pocket clip will ride well.

It should be fine. It's similar to the Spyderco Southard flipper and needs to be away from the titanium lock bar.

BladeHQ had them in stock this morning of course their gone now sadly....if only I had the money I would've snagged one.

To me it's way over priced , then again I really don't understand the whole carbon fiber and titanium fetish everyone seems to have , just give g10 and s30v and make it in the USA

This will get EDC time along with the ZT0566, but this is out first so this will get pocket time first.

Blade HQ's description line incorrectly states blade length: "Spyderco Domino Glass Weave G-10 Flipper Knife (3.54" Satin Plain) C172CFTIP". It's actually 3.13".

Personally, the Domino has high value. Added to that I really like carbon fiber, titanium frame locks (and scales) and definitely flippers (non-assisted with strong detente). Sure I'd like it if it was made in the U.S. but I know the quality of knives coming out of the Taiwanese plant are excellent.

Ummm...

Exactly. Eric Glesser designed it to be a flipper. Can't fault them for capitalizing on something that is popular right now and it was meant to be a flipper since its inception.

This will be yet another Spyderco that is all but unobtainable. I am getting tired of jumping through hoops to spend money.
