I have been looking at this knife for a while now and really like it. Its everything I want in a folder right now. Flipper, Titanium, Framelock, Spyderco.

The steel however doesn't appeal to me as much. I currently own a Spyderco Sage 1 and have been carrying it for 3 years now. I love the S30V in the Sage and find it to hold a usable edge for a very long time. A couple members on here have done steel testing and found that the CTS XHP in the Domino does not hold an edge as long as S30V. I love the knife, I just wish they offered it in M390.

Anyway, Is there a noticeable loss in edge retention in CTS XHP compared to S30V? Or is it minimal and I should just jump on the knife?

Any future Domino's coming out in a different steel? I found this one offered from http://www.bentoboxshop.com/ but it has CTS-204P steel which they claim is Carpenter Steel's version of M390. Any light to be shed on this?

Your spot on. The BBS is what you are looking for. However if you haven't given xhp a shot I'd go for it. I'm a huge xhp fan...

Recently picked up the BBS bundle with this knife and the Lil matriarch, actually a good deal for a change from BBS. My first Domino and I'm very impressed, probably the nicest fit and finish yet for me. It flips effortlessly, smooth as butter and when released it floats back down into a perfect detent, the blade is perfectly centered also and came razor sharp, I love CTS-204P have a couple others with this steel and its one of my favorites.

Who produces the CTS 204P for Bentoboxshop?

Not to be a wise arse but....CTS. Or did you mean who produces the CTS domino? Uh Spyderco.

Anyway...add me to the list of people who are highly impressed with the domino. I was burned out on Ti frame locks and flippers. Mostly because I think most companies can't get them right. Frame lock flippers don't need to be monsters. The domino has almost the same exact profile as the manix (no surprise there since Eric designed them both). My 204p domino is the only flipper I have owned that can flip when it's already partially open. It's just that smooth. AND it slices like a dream.

I have the Dice, and once I got the pivot loosened a bit, it's a really good knife.

Love the stainless lockbar insert/over travel stop, and Taichung quality. If I could carry a knife with the blade size of the Domino, I'd give the Bento one a try despite some peoples' aversion to them as a company.
