I have the oppertunity to buy a NIB Spyderco DragonFly Stainless Steel for 26 bucks..should i do it....What's with VG-10 steel...how does it rate agianst other steel like 440C or Aus-8?

If you don't buy it, tell me where it is so I can. ;)

VG-10 is pretty good stuff. It takes a nice edge without too much work and holds it much better than AUS-8. It seems less prone to chipping than most of the 440C I've had experience with. It doesn't have as much abrasion resistence as S30V, but it is a good all-around steel.

I just can't wait for the ZDP-189 to come out. That will definitely be the office knife.

VG 10 is my favourite steel. Good corrosion resistance, holds an edge well (although not as well as S30V), and sharpens easily. $26 is a good price.

I'm waiting on the H1. The new models will be replacing the integral frn clip with a deep carry wire clip.
