I heard STR could do a G10 handle for the Spyderco Dragonfly (my favorite small light duty knife). What would such a thing cost and would it be worth the expense?

Worth the expense is a good question. I'm always amazed at the money people spend on a knife they have come to like using. But they do it everyday. Kind of like buying new goodies for your car I guess. Do you ever get it back when you sell it? I don't know.

I can certainly do it. But what would help is some pictures of the knife. I'm going to have to search out some or you can post some for me. I can tell a lot from pictures.

Isn't that a smaller knife? I'm not sure I've ever handled one.

Ok I looked that one up. I think I can for sure redo it with ease. Its a typical FRN folder from them.

I have some green and orange G10 coming any day or you could pick some up and ship it with the knife. Many do that. I recommend just buying 1/8" thick stock in enough to do two sets just in case I need to redo one side or something.

I get most of my stock of G10 from Sheffield supply. They sell a 5 x12" sheet that is reasonably priced and have a very large assortment of colors and multi patterns. Jantz sells some neat colors also though.

Your call. I can knock something like that out pretty quick. Due to the design of that knife though the clip is integral with the body so the new one will have to be custom made or I can use an old clip from a past rebuild on it that has the Spyderco logo to save you a few bucks there. I'll have to make a custom spring holder also. Not a problem though.

On a knife that size if you supply the G10 you are probably looking at about $110 plus shipping. If I supply it a bit more. Probably around $120 + or -.

Thanks for asking.
