I should say again! :D This is pretty much routine for me anymore with the D4and E4 models by Spyderco. As you can see here this is typical of how they come to me also after countless time spent on them by the end line user trying to get them back together again.

I have not looked this bag over to inventory all parts or to make sure the spacer is reusable but I'll get there shortly. I thought since I've never posted how they come to me that I'd show folks out there in the real world what happens when you can't leave well enough alone. ;)

Ok this one is all better now. Phil you didn't specify how you wanted the clip and I'm not sure of the pivot tension you like but these things you can adjust once its home.

It will go back out to you today.

Steve,

Very cool of you. Thanks. The zip lock bag was a custom job I did myself:D. I fricking spent a couple of hours before giving up on it.

I'm curious from a thread you started earlier, how sharp was it compared to the level of sharpness you generally bring your knives to?

I think it is probably about the same kind of edge it came with new. Its what I use on my own everyday knives. A utility edge if you will. Not as sharp as I could have taken it but certainly better than it was. Based on your letter I didn't want to make it prone to biting or anything. :D

I was kinda hoping you were going to take it to a newspaper-push-cutting-sharp. I just can't imagine blades being as sharp as some of the members on these forums say they can get their blades. Thanks for the quick fix and ship:).
