I liked this knife right out of the box. The fit and finish are excellent, looks like it was hand finished. I touched the blade up with a fine ceramic stick and put it to use cutting mostly strechwrap at work and it cut very well. I really liked the way the knife felt in the hand. The nice weight reminded me of a buck 110, some may not like this in a knife, but I feel a hard working knife needs the weight, and it was not noticed when carrying. The only thing I would add is a coin edge on the raised part of the blade forward of the bolster to give the thumb a better grip when doing fine work. That said, I will be adding the Persian to my collection soon.

my friend got one not too long ago and at first it really reminded me of the Spyderco Masaad Ayoob, but of course much heavier.
the Persian is however, a very well made knife and very carry friendly.
too bad too low on cash though... so have to drool over his :D

I've made the analogy of the Persian reminding me of an upgraded Buck 110 a few times myself over the last few months.

I carry mine everyday in the RFP, usually adjunct to the Chinook2 or the Perrin Spyder Bowie in a drawpoint sheath.

Today I changed carry guns due to the heightened alert we have here due to the DNC coming to town this summer so I'm only carrying the Persian and the heat with a spare reload for it for awhile.

The Persian sits very well clipped to the pocket, is easily accessed and opened and is of a design that doesn't draw too much attention as a SD weapon due to the bolsters and overall aesthetics reminding many of the pocket knives their grandads carried.

Other than the clip and blade design, it's a generic lockback most would recognize as not "tactical" but more as a working knife IMO. If only the micarta had been roughed a little, it would be perfect for me.

Once opened, the knife sits well, locked into the hand, and I have very good control of the blade during use.

One of my all time favorites in folders at this point. It takes some people a little while to get comfortable with this knife from what others have said, while some find it "good to go" immediately. I was one of the latter.

Brownie,

Persian is a sweetheart!! Been carrying one as well - strangest thing.:) Touch base next week.

I too fell in love w/ the Persian when I saw one.

I like the 'heavy knife' feeling to it. I like the way it feels in my hand. It's sharp as ever right out of the box. It's easy to touch up after use too.

I used mine to create a test piece walking stick last week. I used it to first cut the 2" dia. sapling (on private land that someone was clearing). Then I trimmed the branches off. Then I finally pealed the bark off. Toward the end, I rounded the braches and both ends of the stick. When I was done, I just touched up the blade w/ a ceramic stick. Right back to normally sharp.

It's my EDC, riding in my pant waist band.
