I just received a black Delica 4, and next to the spyder (toward the point) there is a number #013V ? What does the number represent? It's a VG-10 steel, so nothing out of the ordinary.

Nobody else? I believe it's a collector's club number. A collector's club member gets a serial numbered copy of each model Spyderco makes.

It's a collectors club number. The V is for Variant, meaning some version of the original. Some people are part of the collectors club, there are a few levels. This allows you to get one of every model, but you must commit to buying them from what I know. Someone will chime in with further details.

What's weird, is I bought it new from one of the knife vendor here on BF. Thanks for the info.

Some dealers are also in the collectors club. This assures they will get at least one of the hard to get variants.

i have several knives with the V#. I am not in the club. All mine came from online dealers.
