is the blue frn scales almost a turquoise or is it just me? I just received my endura and the color is not what I expected. All the pictures online looks much darker, almost like a cobalt blue. Anyone else notice this? I would take a picture of mine but it looks like the rest on the internet. So Im guessing that answers my question.

Thanks

I don't think it looks turquoise at all. I wonder if you got one of the teal green ones instead of the blue?

I have one of those blue Enduras and the color is like a medium to light blue....it's not dark. There is a teal green one too. Is that what you have?

This is exactly what it looks like. I only saw this after I got it in my hands. Everything else online it looks much darker. Maybe its just me.....

Thank you sal. Been visiting blade forums a while ever since the spyder bite. This is far from my first spyderco. The list continues to grow.

Thanks for all the amazing knives!

Decided to keep it. Was so off by the color wanted to make sure it wasnt a fake.

Nah, looks normal to me. Recently bought a Delica in that color for my Brother's GF - looks the same. As far as photos go, all cameras are going to represent colors slightly differently (based on white-balance and processors), and when people are doing post-processing (editing), things can further change. Good knife though, no doubt.

Its kind of a Dodger Blue or a darker shade of light blue. A very nice color.

The darker blue you may have seen or have been looking for was used for the earlier runs of ZDP-189 before British Racing green.

My first FRN Spydies were a blue Delica and green Endura. I wasn't expecting a dark blue, but the blue I'd seen in pictures and on YouTube seemed brighter and richer(?) than when I saw it in person. I ended up not liking it because it reminded me of Fisher Price toy blue, I don't know, just looked different in person than in pictures and kinda dull. I did like the green better in person than in pictures but sold the Endura anyway. I now have a gray Delica and would have a green one if I wanted another.

This discusions about shades of colors are not to be expected among knifenuts... Get it greasy, muddy, bloody and scratched... and you will stop worrying about the color.:D

The blue is different in person than in pictures. I noticed, but was not disappointed when I bought mine. Same as uofaengr, I had a blue Delica and green Endura at one point. I traded them in for a gray Delica and a gray Endura. I like the gray for a more subdued EDC color.
