Spyderco Endura 4 FFG VS. Delica 4 FFG

I prefer to carry a longer blade, so the Endura gets my vote. That said, the Delica is a fine performer as well.

I prefer a shorter knife and carry the Delica when I want something light.

A Benchmade Griptilian is worthy of consideration. Either the regular or mini. They both have Spydie hole options if that's what you like.

I prefer the delica. Nice and light and more fun to play with. I think a 3" blade is perfect edc size.

For me, and I repeat, for me, the only thing the Endura does better is reach the bottom of the peanut butter jar without getting my knuckles messy. I prefer my Delicas.

I think everyone should own at least one of each. They both are fantastic.

99% of carrying a knife is pocket time, so for me ease and comfort of carry are paramount - as long as you still have enough utility for your particular needs. Will the extra 0.9" of blade and slightly longer scales of the Endura be worth it for you? Only you can decide that. But for me, a Delica has always been sufficient. Both carry easily and cut pretty much the same, so you just gotta pick what you like. What Uncle VA said about the peanut butter jar is what I was thinking too.

Btw, I own about 8 Enduras and 10 Delicas, so I obviously haven't been able to pick just one either.

I only have Enduras, they are easy to carry, you won't know they are there.

Spyderco Stretch trumps them both. Carries just a bit bigger than the Delica, has about as much cutting edge as the Endura, and has better ergonomics than either.

I like larger knives, so Endura over Delica for me, with that said I also prefer G10 over FRN, so in the under $100 category the Manix 2 XL is my favoirte (got mine for $79 on sale, but the can usually be found for around $95). It just feels much more substantial, and less budget line to me. I also prefer the CBL over backlock.

Whether it's true or not, a guy who said he was in "wet" work in special forces said it didn't matter how long the blade was just so long as it was really sharp.

Oh, and I've yet to hear of a Spyderco FRN handle snapping off in the heat of opening a package or a throat.
Even the pre series 4 that didn't have the steel liners.
Coors, I doubt many are used for cutting louvers in car hoods.

Endura...just in case your doing something beyond "wet" work.
They're both really sturdy lock-backs and i love vg-10.

If you have visions of using it for self defense, then I'd get the Endura. I have both (2-Enduras -plain and fully serrated) and prefer the Delica plain edge regardless. The Delica raises fewer eye browls when you get it out to use it. It is a nice knife that you can carry in your pocket or clipped and you don't really notice it much. You notice the Endura. For me it is just a tad too large and I generally prefer a larger pocket knife.

You can't go wrong with either. I find myself carrying the Delica more due to its size.

Thanks guys for all of the opinions, I really appreciate it. Its probably a choice on which one i get first including the Manix 2 and the Stretch because they're all great knives.
