Spyderco Endura Gen 1 question

I recently acquired a seemingly unused stainless Endura from a good friend. I haven't been able to get a clue as far as value or collectablility. It has a full serrated edge and says, "SPYDERCO AUS 8 (maybe 6?) STAINLESS on one side and SEKI CITY JAPAN on the other.

Any info from you Spyderco experts out there? Thanks!

Thank you, sir! I took for granted that it was a Gen 1 because of the lockback lacking the divot (for lack of a better word)in the handle. Any idea on the value?

Current value for one like that would be fairly low. Average US street price for the VG-10 all stainless Endura IV is around $72, and it can be found for under $65 if you hunt around. The older ones don't have a strong collector following, and most folks consider VG-10 better than AUS-6, so you'd have to find someone who hates Boye dents, likes serrated edges, and wants an Endura.

"Boye dents" - that's what I was trying to think of! Informative stuff, Paul. I knew it wouldn't take long to find out about a knife on here. I'm still watching if anyone has anything else. Thanks!
