Hey all, I was bored the other night and looking to spend a little hard earned money, so I dropped into the local sporting goods shop and looked at a few knives. On display they only had a composite handle Endura with spyder edge, I loved the knife instantly, but wanted smooth edge. After waiting at the counter for 15 minutes the gentleman returned and told me he was unable to find a smooth edge with the composite handle, however, he did have one with a stainless handle. Needless to say all he had to do was remove it from the package and hand it to me and I was sold. WOW what a knife for 65.00!!!! I couldnt be more impressed with the quality of this knife! I've been carrying it non-stop since I left the shop and can't seem to carry another folder lately, I'm just floored with the quality and price of this piece.

To anyone that hasn't handled or seen an Endura in person I highly recommend you check one out! Anyone else out there have an endura that they love? Let's see some pictures of yours in action!

Here's mine the night I bought it, I decided to use it to do a little BBQing with a buddy of mine.

I must be starving cause that picture is making me drool.

Unfortunately, it is too late to get some MEAT.

Haha, I'm glad you enjoy your knife,

Honestly, I never tried to use the knife to eat before, usually I just use it for my daily chores....

Anyway I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, enjoy your spydie!

I carry one everyday, and I agree - the Endura is one of the best all around knives made today. A modern classic, it has a super level of fit and finish for the money. Enjoy your new knife........

I've carried an Endura everyday for about 11 years. I can't say enough good things about this knife.

I have the Endura's little brother, the Delica. Like you, I was also stunned with the unbelievable bang for your buck. I was sketchy with the quality (FRN, low price and all give off bad initial vibes), but once I saw one in real life, I was in love. Even if I get new knives in the future, I doubt this one will ever leave my side.

The best knife in the world for me, I can't live apart from it and I even sleep with it clipped to my boxers.

This is the knife I'd get buried with...or if not this one, another Endura.:)

I'm not really into this type of knife anymore (I've just found that, for me, smaller slipjoints are more practical/useful). But to anyone looking for a larger, single-blade locking folder, I ALWAYS recommend an Endura. I have two actually (E3 serrated and an E4 plain) and - even as I thin my collection - I can't see ever getting rid of them. To me, the Endura is the Buck 110 of this era - a bonafied classic that just plain works.

One of my edc is either the frn delica or a SS endura 3. For some reason I really like the spyderco aus-6.

I had the Gen. 3 version but I gave it to my dad. I can only imagine the upgrades on the Gen. 4 will only enhance its performance.

A "modern classic" in every sense of the word. Really, the Endura "endures" because its made Spyderco what it is today.

Ya it was a great deal on the meat lol. Thanks everyone for their responses. I have a question on the box it said "Endura II" does that mean it's a second generation? What's the difference?

Anyone seen the white enduras on ebay? I think I might have to have one of those, although the handles probably stain really easy.

nothing a little scrubbing in hot water can't deal with
the FRN version has better ergonomics and balance IMO, you should try one of those

The newer ones (Endura/Delica 4) have nested steel liners. They're stronger and more sturdy. The blade point and handle shape are also slightly different.

The newer Enduras with the VG-10 steel get SHARP and hold their edge pretty well. I want to try out one of the new Police models with the G-10 handles.

Opens with a comforting 'clink', has a good edge, does not bulge out of my throusers like some of my other bigger knives and lastly the hole is really useful (and painless! My CS Voyager's stud hurts to buggery!).

I got mine in EBay for a really good price, Endura 4 for 45 USD in VG-10 and partially serrated. Oh and the serration is easier to sharpen than CS' version.

I've been carrying an Endura since 92 in one version or another. My original G2, FRN integral clip is still EDCable though I don't use the clip any more.

I carry other knives along with it but the endura is my workhorse folder. My favorite version so far? The British Racing Green , FRN, ZDP PE model. Man, what a knife! Joe
