Hi,

Very simple. Which one you would choose ? I'm looking for well build, working knife.

I have no experience with the RAT, but I can say from my experience that the Endura/Delica is the benchmark for a well made, hard-working folding knife. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one to anybody. That's as good as it gets at that price range.

The Endura is a sure thing. The RAT is supposed to be a good knife too, but don't worry about the discontinued problem, since RAT themselves are looking to put out an American-made version soon, where they might even improve the design. :)

I have both knives and have used both extensively at work. They both hold up just fine. I would give the edge to the Endura, lighter and slimmer package overall.

Listen to fudo---Endura. Either knife you choose will be qualified.

How does Spyderco stands with quality control ? My friends told me that about problems with VG-10 in their's Delicas. Blade was dulling very fast( too fast when comparing to 440C in Benchmade or even Aus -8 in CRKT)
I had previously Endura 4 (vg-10), and it chipped really easily, i do not know whether it was problem with heat treating or edge bevel was simply overheated during factory sharpening ?

Does anyone knows weight of Rat 1 ??
I like Manix ( big one) but its weights too much ( ~170 grams)

I have found spyderco's VG-10 to be as good a blade steel as you can get. Almost any factory edge can be a bit brittle, but that's a simple matter of giving it a good sharpening to the edge angle of your choice, and the problem vanishes.

I don't have a RAT-1 but the specs on one dealer website say 5 oz.
