Spyderco Endura starting to bite me

After nearly 4 years of sharpening and honing the edge of my EDC Endura I have taken the point edge past the safety of the scales - just barely. I like a sharp tip but I guess I have over done it. Anyway, using the pocket clip tip up I occasionally nick the tip of the blade - or should I say the tip nicks me? This will only get worse.

Is there an alternative to repositioning the pocket clip to prevent this? Can the blade be reground to seat more safely or is otherwise time for a new EDC?

Thanks for your thoughts on this prickly subject.

You can shorten the blade slightly and regrind the spine to meet the tip (and/)or you can grind the kick or the part that meets the lock bar when closed to pull the knife into the handle further.

Or just retire that old girl and find a fresh one.

You can usually file down the "kick" or whatever contacts the stop pin or spring when closed.

If you love the knife and want to keep using it, then definitely follow the advice above. I carry a saber ground Delica in my tool bag and it has been sharpened and resharpened. I thought about doing the same thing.
