Spyderco endura wave vs ffg

The wave version is okay. Not for me, giving it to my cousin. Never had the regular.

The Endura4 FFG is an awesome knife. I don't have a waved Endura, but the waved Delica really didn't do much for me. I'd rather have the slicing prowess of the FFG. If you really want the knife to open as you draw from your pocket, you can also try the zip tie mod.

I have the Delica in the wave and FFG. I like the FFG it slices through everything easily. I got the wave recently because I love the Delica haha you can do the zip tie mod to the FFG like below and it works just doesn't look as good

I've owned more Enduras than any other knife and for hard use I prefer the saber ground blade. But would really like a FFG waved Endura for reasons already mentioned. I was shaping some hard plastic recently and had to fetch a FFG to replace the saber grind I had in my pocket.
But it is a great looking blade.

FFG is a better cutter, no doubt. I don't think an Endura should really be put up to tasks that would make a difference in blade strength... FRN spydercos are not my choice for hard use. I have a wave Endura and love it, but I probably should have gone ffg.

Bought my first endura and don't like it. Too much blade play and just doesn't feel solid but I'm used to adamas, recon 1, utilitac II which all are very solid knives. This was a gift for someone but decided to get them a mini griptilian instead cause will be probably their only carry knife and didn't want the endura to be their first impressions of a pocket knife. Endura isn't terrible just is not my first choice in a knife espeically when you can get a griptilian for a little more $.

for cutting purposes alone, go for ffg. Spyderco ffgs are hard to beat in terms of cutting performance and weight. I sold my waved endura because it didn't do a whole lot for me. Wave is more of a fun gimmick and for SD purposes. If it's just a carry blade, ffg all the way.

FFG Endura cuts way better than the Saber version, and I use my knives for cutting.

The wave is a gimmick in my opinion, and isn't reliable enough to depend on under stress. The standard FFG Endura opens 100% of the time for my thumb. Meanwhile, the waved Endura opens properly 90% of the time while wrecking my pants pockets 100% of the time and it has the crazy thick saber grind.

Great point. Saber grind is stronger, but anything that could snap an FFG blade would probably destroy the pivot first.

Yes, that is the Endura Glock Armorer Tool version with the AR punch tool designed for, well, armorers. Handy to break down an AR15.

C10PSTA is the part number.
