Just learning how to post a video on YouTube so I thought I'd share this with yall. This is my Zdp-189 endura after my full blown sharpening routine. If you notice it just the weight of the knife doing the slicing.

Sweet man! What stones/technique did you use?

I don't have any zdp but the vg10 delica I have takes an edge uncomparable to other steels I have used.

I use a smiths fine diamond bench stone, king 1000, king 6000, guangxi 12000 natural Chinese stone, chromium oxide pasted strop and then bare leather.
I just went through that progression on my blue vg-10 endura and it did the same thing. The endura has very quickly become one of my all time favorites

Very nice! I would love to know how far you can push cut (no draw) away from the point of hold. We used to do that for fun as well. It looks like with that edge, you could get at least 4 inches away.

I just tried it. It's right at about 4 inches. I want to do the rubber band test next
