The grip on the PM2, Sage Series, Native, and other various Spyderco blades seems like the best type of ergonomics for me. I have a Dragonfly and the ergo's on it are fantastic. The grip before the knife blade and the handle, for your finger is what I'm talking about. I want a knife that isn't crazy expensive like a Native or PM2 but has this grip. any ideas ??

What's crazy expensive to you? What price point do you want to stay under?

I believe what you like about the spydies listed is what most people would call a "choil". I would definitely recommend the Native, I just bought one and own a dragonfly. The sage series also has really good ergos similar to the native. Another similarly priced knife would be the Stretch. But I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for besides choils.

An endura for example isn't my first choice, but higher end spyderco's (100+) seem to have this choil which I like. I am asking are there any knives under 100 for example that have these ergonomics

The Caly 3 has a great choil, and some of the best ergos ever.
You should be able to pick one up in your price range if you watch the exchange. Can't go wrong with the Caly 3 if you ask me.

Check out the Native lightweight, Manix 2, or Manix 2 lightweight. You might find those to fit the bill.

Also, nothing wrong with hitting up the secondary market and finding a lightly used model.

I haven't held a caly yet, but a manix2 lightweight handles very nice and is <100.

For a real budget knife, most of the Byrd line has choils. Grab whichever one you want, they're all cheap (inexpensive, that is, the quality is definitely there) and excellent.

I love the Gayle Bradley. Shows that you don't need deep choils to get great ergos. The thickness of it feel great in-hand, too. Slightly better than the thinner FRN models.

You can get a manix2, stretch, and native FRN for under $100. The Byrd line also has the choils on most models like someone mentioned. I can only recommend the native FRN since it is the only one I own-- it feels like I'm shaking someone's hand when I use it.

For small knives, the Cricket and the Balance have good sized and useful choils, they give great control, and are only about $55-$75.

The UK Penknife is basically the Caly 3 with frn handles and no lock. I got mine for under $50. Best ergos of all my spydies so far. Don't have an actual Caly or Stretch yet, but they're both on the list.

The Manix 2 XL is a nice larger slicer and is a good bang for the buck! The egos work for me, but I guess factors such as hand size may be a factor for each individual.
