Spyderco Ethnic series

Very, very nice!
I really would love to have a large persian, especially in red....and a Navaja.

What are your thoughts on the Pattada? I’ve been blowing hot & cold on snagging one.

Still interested in anyone’s commentary on the Pattada...in the meantime, my modest foray into the ethnic series.... (love these knives, BTW)

I love mine aside from the clip being on the wrong end. I carried a C44 Dyad for about ten years, and it was the Pattada that finally displaced it, at least for the last six months or so. I love a pointy point, and the blade is nearly thin enough to qualify as a knife instead of a splitting wedge. The smooth, rounded G-10 feels great in the hand, the shape anchors it firmly without creating hot spots. I'm hoping for a K390 version one day.

Great stuff Reject, 5 by.

Hey 5 by, where did you get the scale for that Chokwe?

FYI, I'm working on a smaller Chokwe. Also, there is some question as to whether or not the Khalsa and Kumo are real "Ethnic series" knives?

Sorry a got it with the scale. So no info.

I do have an opinion though. It's liner less and super light weight. The Ti side is really the meat of the frame. The G10 doesn't need any support.

It would be amazing if you consider liner less! The Chokwe is a home run. Linerless Chokwe is a bases loaded Home run!

Thanx for reply Sal,i own about 30 Spyderco knives, too bad Spyderco Laguiole is not in production,as I love traditional designs with Spydercos twist on them.I am waiting for new Shabaria to buy it as I missed it before.Laguiole is an amazing design for my taste, plus highly functional for most tasks,as my main use is cutting food and softer materials.

Is the zulu part of the ethnic series? It sure looks like it, anyways I have always been interested in it and might pick it up one day, I saw one go for a decent price on the exchange recently.

Wow that is great to hear! I have also been interested in the Chokwe but stayed away because I couldn't carry a blade that large. I look forward to seeing it.
