I haven't heard much talk about the set on the Forums. I own the set (like it very much) and was wondering if I could get any background info on it.
Is "new model" Worker in the set the only damascus bladed Spyderco produced?

The set was produced in 1993. There was a damascus blade Worker model with a Pro-Venator handle. The billets were made by Tim Zowada, shipped to Seki and the knife finished there. A 2nd knife was a replica of the original 1981 thin scale / 2 screw Worker model. The two pieces were mounted in a cylindrical display case. 1,000 sets were planned, but we didn't end up with enough billets to complete the 1,000. We probably should have sold the Damascus pieces alone as the demand for it was greater than the whole set. It was a difficult project. I remember that when we ran into some cash flow problems and had to reduce inventory a while back, there was a distributor that "invested" in the remaining sets. I don't have the particulars, but you might contact the sales specialists at Spyderco to find out where they went, if you are interested.

Does anyone know what the value/estimated value of the set is or what it sells for.
