Well, I shot a 9 point buck this morning with my bow. After a really short tracking job (blood trail was incredible), I get to my buck. I reached into my fanny pack, and my hand finds the Spyderco Delica (black blade) that just showed up in the mail last thursday. I also had my buck/mayo TNT in there, but I just went with the Spyderco. I examined the knife when I first got it, and I thought, this is a piece of junk, why do all the spyderco fans rave about em. Blade wobble side to side, little up/down play. Feels like I could break the blade out of the handle with my bare hands. Maybe I'd sell it. I threw it in my fanny pack as a backup knife for smashing bone and stuff I wouldn't do to the Buck. Well, the tip went through the hide like it was butter. I think wow, that IS sharp. I one fluid slice I unzip the buck's belly with no resistance at all. It's just like the scene in "Empire Strikes Back" where Han slices open the tauntaun's belly with the lightsaber. I'm standing there amazed at this edge. I think I'll keep the Delica.
