New to Bladeforums but a fan of Spyderco. I bought a small one that looks like the current stainless Dragonfly about 20 years ago. I carried it on the job for 10+ years until I retired, clipped to the weakside waistband behind the belt. I never sharpened it, partly because I didn't know what to do with the serrations but mostly because it never needed it. Today it looks like it has been in a tumbler, but it is still solid as as rock. I'm looking at the current ATR Titanium model. I've only seen pictures but it appeals to me for some reason. You all know how that goes. Anyone have thoughts/experience regarding that model? Great forum.

The titanium model was designed for a major firearms manufacturer that withdrew after Sal got the whole concept worked out. Sal decided to bring it out under it's own name. I have the SS version on the plane towards Europe right now. From the reports i read about the ATR in Titanium this is a premium knife, wich is not only just a great and very sturdy allround knife but also a serious SD folder. It has a perfect fit and finish, and one of top quality (as in production knife). The steel CPM-S30V is top notch and one of the best steels available on the market. The matching of titanium and this steel makes it one of the best production Spyderco knives available. For more info visit the Spyderco website and the forums for first hand information.

Yeah I got the Ti version, built like a tank... but has nothing in common with the Dragonfly! The ATR is really big and therefore not as easy to carry as the Dragonfly, think about it if you plan to EDC it.

(I'm waiting for a Dragonfly next week, I'll post side by side pictures if you're interested)
