It's not actually a spyderco, just reminded me of one.

Please don,t show me knives that cost more than my car . L:O:L
That >Triumph< model looks fantastic . I like a tanto front edge .

Yeah, I liked the tanto blade as well. He's got a nice touch for folders.

You're right though, Kevin ... expensive! You could always sell your car, buy this knife, and maybe a bicycle.

Pretty, but I no longer have any love for the "American Tanto" style...

I never have liked that style, but your language makes me curious. More detailed explanation on why please.

OT. When do we get more 411 on your deployment by the way. I want to know what equipment you need.

Andy,

That style really isn't good for much except opening stuff. Maybe cars. If it's ground on one side, it won't cut evenly through material. If it's ground on both, it's okay, but still not as good as many other types of blades for most things.

I think lots of folks love it because it looks cool to them, but it's not really even authentic Japanese styling.

Thanks John. I just never was bitten by the modern pocketknife. I like the OBG's. SAK's, and regular old folders. My favorite pocketknife bladestyle is a drop point. I've just always thought I was boring. The idea of using a pocketknife for self defense, to me, sounds desperate. Probably could have packed more common sense and been safer. To me a pocketknife is a tool/cool brick-a-brack to pass around when guys are hanging out. I have a pretty good collection of good old fashioned folders. Some I haven't gotten around to carrying yet, but I will, I don't believe in knives as investments. And I don't need any excuse but the love to collect knives.
